Joyce “Joy” Ann Smith

ZEPHYRHILLS — Joyce "Joy" Ann Smith, 93, of Zephyrhills, passed away peacefully at Compass Rose on Monday, January 19, 2026. Born April 5, 1932, in Norwalk, Connecticut, daughter of the late Anthony and Alice (Perrotelli) Renzulli. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Larry Smith, her son Keith Hall, her sisters Mary Lou Kidwell and Dorothy Haus.
Joy is survived by her son, Wally Hall, wife Terry, daughter-in-law, Jeanette (Jet) Breden-Hall, along with 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Before moving to Zephyrhills in 2001, Joy and her husband, Larry, performed music and comedy for 27 years throughout the United States and Asia. They married in 1962.
In the 1960's, Joy and Larry took their act up and down the East Coast and out west performing at hotels, state fairs, and on the radio. Soon after, they began entertaining overseas. They played for the troops in Korea, Japan, Guam, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
After Larry's passing in 2003, Joy embraced karaoke and was frequently found at the Elks and various local clubs making friends and singing. The family would like to thank the staff at Compass Rose, Gulfside Hospice and especially nurses Silkia and John for their care for Joy in her last days.
Thanks also to Joy's neighbors, Lorri, Diane, and Terry, for their support of Joy when she needed assistance, and to Jet's daughter, Mel, for being there when she was needed. A Celebration of Life will be held for Joy at the Elks Club Lodge #2731, 6851 Wire Rd., Zephyrhills, FL, on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11 am.
