Celebrating community with an air of sophistication..

A sea of flowery sun dresses and big hats filled the annex. The conversations flowed as smoothly as the tea while sharing laughter, stories, and experiences. Lace tablecloths, crafted centerpieces and teacups adorned tables. Little paper purses with ribbons and cardboard teapots were filled with chocolates.

A tea station offered a selection of hot teas alongside refreshing iced tea. Robin Hahn, with a flowery teapot, added a personal touch pouring hot water for the attendees.

A feast with cucumber, pimento, banana bread with cream cheese sandwiches, scones, cookies, eclairs, and fruit tarts filled the banquet table. Girl Scout cookie flavored cupcakes and a unique cheddar cracker cookie with pepper jam were shared by all. Homemade Biscotti by Bernie is always a hit, so good that he hosts lessons in his home.

As everyone finished eating, conversing and sipping tea, Judi Gearsbeck announced she had gift bags containing trinkets and miniature paintings by Colleen King.

“Who is the oldest in the room?” Judi asked.

Martha, 99 years old, was awarded the oldest and will be 100 years old August 30th. Janaee Brown was awarded the youngest at 64 years old.

“Who has the most grandchildren?” BADCarroll and Arla Goldsmith, who have fourteen grandchildren received their well-deserved gift bags.  Robin Hahn won for the best hat.  She decorated her hat with a golf cart and golf theme.

As the afternoon ended, Judi thanked Joanne Levere, volunteers who crafted treats, decorated and donated gifts.  She expressed her heartfelt appreciation for everyone who attended, making the 4th annual tea party another success.  ©
