A Celebration of Community, Scholarship, and Heritage
The Zephyrhills Historical Association hosted its annual Christmas in July dinner, bringing together members, scholarship recipients, and their families. The event is a cherished tradition, with the highlight of each year presenting scholarships to outstanding Zephyrhills High School seniors and college students.
This year, the Association awarded a total of $2,200 in scholarships to four deserving students: Gideon Boggs, Class of 2025; Gabi Jones, William Poe, and Madison Poe, all attending college. Their achievements and aspirations were celebrated with their families and members.
A special touch to the occasion was the venue itself—Zephyrhills’ historic 1927 Atlantic Coast Line Depot. The historic setting provided a historical backdrop, connecting the present generation to the city’s legacy.
The festivities were complemented by a catered meal from Gail Fisher, ensuring that all in attendance enjoyed not only meaningful conversation and recognition, but also excellent food. The event served as a testament to the Association’s commitment to honoring the past while investing in the future of Zephyrhills’ youth.
