The City of Zephyrhills - Government awarded a proclamation this week to Malachi Woodard, a recent Zephyrhills High School graduate, in recognition of his record-breaking performance and inspirational journey in boys' weightlifting!

🏋️‍♂️ Malachi’s dedication to the sport paid off when he earned his second state title and also broke the state record in the 154 lb. division, lifting an astounding 240 lbs. during the 2025 FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association) Class 2A Olympic Snatch competition.

Mayor Melonie Bahr Monson commended Malachi for:

✅ Winning multiple state titles in weightlifting

✅ Earning a scholarship to Lindenwood University

✅ Representing Zephyrhills with pride and perseverance

✅ Inspiring others through his determination and heart
