ZEPHYRHILLS PREGNANCY CENTER Hosts The Annual Ladies Tea

Celebration and generosity at the center’s longest running fundraiser. The Zephyrhills Pregnancy Care Center recently held its Annual Ladies Tea fundraising event at the First Nazarene Church gymnasium. The Ladies Tea, the center’s longest running fundraiser, stands as a cornerstone of the center’s outreach—supporting vital programs and bringing the community together in celebration and generosity.
More than thirty-five raffle baskets were generously donated by local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to help raise funds for the center’s services. Chicken Salad Chicks donated chicken salad sandwiches, Steph’s Cakery and Sugar Love Bakery donated the desserts. Table hosts decorated their tables and provided an assortment of teas and special gifts for their guests.
A series of speakers informed the guests about the future of the center. With their services in high demand, the center has outgrown its current space and is seeking a larger facility to better accommodate ultrasounds and medical needs for women. A mom shared her personal story, describing how the center transformed her life, while mentors spoke about their experiences helping women through the program.
The Pregnancy Care Center offers a variety of services, including pregnancy tests, the Promise Program, Baby Bucks, and educational courses on parenting, single parenting, budgeting, Fatherhood Program and life skills. Participating women can earn Baby Bucks to spend in the boutique, which is stocked with diapers, clothing, accessories, and more.
“Earning baby bucks empowers the women,” said Amy Yarbourgh, Director of the Pregnancy Care Center. “These courses teach them everything.” Looking ahead, the center will host another fundraising event on April 25th at Zephyr Park from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. Community members are encouraged to participate as Walk Coordinators by rallying their church, business, or group, family and friends to join the walk. “The Pregnancy Care Center is a great place. I can be with my sisters in Christ,” said Yarborough. “I am encouraged to pray and seek God at work. I have the privilege of watching moms grow.” Following the Ladies Tea, the Women of Worship (W.O.W.) of the First Nazarene Church hosted a Baby Shower to donate additional items to the boutique, further demonstrating the community’s spirit of generosity and support. ♥
